The seed for Buk's Body Bar was planted in 2016, stemming from a deeply personal experience. A severe skin breakout led me on a journey of discovery, where I learned the profound connection between what we consume and our overall well-being. This revelation extended beyond my diet to the products I was applying to my skin.  Driven by a desire for a healthier, more radiant complexion, I dove into researching natural foods and, more importantly, natural skincare solutions. My kitchen soon transformed into a personal lab, where I began experimenting with raw, organic ingredients to craft moisturizing products for both my skin and my natural hair. 

 

My quest deepened significantly after a transformative visit to my home country of Nigeria. I was captivated by the naturally radiant complexions I saw everywhere, a testament to the power of traditional, natural ingredients. I returned back to the United States with newfound inspiration and tons of authentic shea butter.

 

What started as a personal passion project, creating handmade formulations for my own needs, soon blossomed into something far greater. Friends and family, who were fortunate enough to try my early batches, not only loved the results but began asking for more. Their enthusiastic feedback and persistent requests were the true catalyst for Buk's Body Bar.
